Freitag, S. “Acts of Seeing, Ways of Knowing: Visual Culture in the Making of Modern India.” Primus Books (February 2025). Dr. Freitag will launch the book at an event at UC Berkeley later this month, and will deliver a first book talk in Singapore in March.

Dr. Tate Paulette
  • On Feb. 6. Dr. Tate Paulette presented the lecture, “In the Land of Ninkasi: A History of Beer in Ancient Mesopotamia,” for students in the Honors Program, Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. On Feb 7, Dr. Paulette presented the same lecture at Proof Brewing Company, Tallahassee, FL.
  • Dr. Nishani Frazier has organized NCSU Public History’s first symposium on Queer History featuring work about the impact of queer theories and research on heritage sites, oral histories, museums, and archives. The event will take place in Park Shops 200 on Feb 28. Details can be found here.
