Public History MA Alumna, Claire Du Laney,’18 named Outreach Archivist and Assistant Professor at UNO

We are pleased to announce that Claire Du Laney, Graduate Public History Alumna ’18, has been named Outreach Archivist and Assistant Professor for the Archives and Special Collections department at the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Du Laney graduated from North Carolina State University in 2018 with a Masters of Arts in Public History. She went on to graduate from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a Masters of Science in Library Science. Du Laney builds upon the methods and pedagogy she learned at North Carolina State, which allow her to create engaging displays, collaborate with colleagues, and incorporate archival  research into various curriculum. 

As she settles into her new position at UNO, Du Laney is excited to work with archival materials for exhibits, research, and leading instruction sessions for students across all departments and disciplines.
