S. Thomas Parker Named Distinguished Graduate Professor

The History Department is proud to announce that Professor S. Thomas Parker has been named a University Alumni Association Distinguished Graduate Professor. He was among four faculty members from across the university this year to receive this award which recognizes outstanding career achievement in teaching and mentoring graduate students. Parker received the award from Chancellor Randy Woodson in a ceremony on April 23, 2018 at the Park Alumni Center.

Parker  joined the history department at NCSU as an assistant professor in 1980 and was promoted to associate professor in 1986 and to professor in 1991.
