Professor William Kimler to lecture at NC Museum of Science’s “Darwin Day.”

As a part of the “Darwin Day” programs at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences on Saturday, February 11,  History professor William Kimler will present a public lecture at 10:30 am on “How Darwin Did It: Skepticism and Persuasion in Science.” It is always hard to change a scientific theory. Professor Kimler will talk about how Darwin persuaded scientists and the public to accept the theory of evolution. In addition, History adjunct professor Paul Brinkman, who is also head of the History of Science Research Lab at the Museum, will be wandering the building as Mr. Darwin himself, to answer questions all day.
