Professor Robins Awarded Honorary Doctorate
Associate Teaching Professor Nicholas Robins was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the National University of Huancavelica in Peru on June 30 in recognition of his relevant and exceptional academic and professional trajectory.
Dr. Robins joined the NC State faculty in 2007. He holds a Ph.D in Latin American Studies from Tulane University and is the recipient of two Fulbright Research awards and is the founding president of the Bolivian Studies Association and the founding director of the Cuban Studies Institute at Tulane University. Robins also serves as faculty director of NCSU’s Summer in Cuba Program
Dr. Robins’ research concerns colonial Andean environmental and social history as well as indigenous rebellions.
