Science, Technology and Society Seminar: Prof. Mi Gyung Kim

History professor Mi Gyung Kim will give a talk on “Balloon Enlightenment & Machine Polity.” Drawing on Michel Foucault’s vision of the “body politic,” this talk explores the possibility of utilizing ideal machines to configure the “insurrection of subjugated knowledge” that would counter the triumphalist stories of Western civilization.
