History Students Present at 2015 Graduate Student Research Symposium
Pamela Koulianos (pictured left) and Sarah Wenner (pictured right), both graduate students studying Ancient History under the direction of Dr. S Thomas Parker, presented their research at the 10th Annual NC State University Graduate Student Research Symposium held on March 25, 2015. The annual symposium is jointly sponsored by the University Graduate Student Association and the Graduate School. Over 200 graduate students across nine NC State colleges presented posters at this year’s gathering. Pam and Sarah presented a shared poster on the archaeological research they conducted in Jordan during the 2014 season of the Petra North Ridge Project. The presentation featured local and imported ceramic finds from the Nabataean and Early Byzantine periods. Pam described the atmosphere of the symposium as “friendly and professional.” She enjoyed being able to share her research with colleagues and judges.
