Biography

Alexander Goodrich, a third-year PhD student in Public History, was born in Harrisburg, PA. He enrolled at Millersville University in 2010, graduating first with a BA in History in 2014 and again with an MA in 2017. A student of Atlantic History, Alex recently published his Master's thesis on eighteenth-century Bermudian politics and privateering in the Bermuda Journal of Archaeology and Maritime History. Continuing his work with the National Museum of Bermuda, Alex is currently writing an article for MARItimes, the museum's official magazine. His dissertation will chronicle the growth of public history in Bermuda and its relationship to politics and tourism.

In addition to his doctorate, Alex is pursuing a graduate certificate in geographic information systems (GIS) to better visualize historical changes.
