Bachelor of Science in History (LSH)

The Bachelor of Science (LSH) degree offers the student the opportunity to integrate a broad base in science and mathematics and a specialized study in one area of science and technology with the History discipline. The BS degree offers a way for students to get both the analytical and writing skills that come from a history major and the technical proficiency that comes with coursework in science and engineering. This combination is very helpful in a wide variety of careers, including law, business, and public policy. This degree is particularly well suited for students transferring into history from a science of engineering major.

The degree requires:

  • At least 4 other courses at the 400 level
  • The senior seminar (Hi 491)

The sophomore seminar (Hi 300) is highly recommended but not required.
