W. Turrentine Jackson Award

The Pacific Historical Review has named Prof. Matthew Booker the recipient of the 2007 W. Turrentine Jackson Prize, which honors authors of the most outstanding articles emanating from dissertations on any aspect of the history of the American West in the twentieth century.The prize-winning article was "Oysters and Oyster Pirates: Property and Inequality in San Francisco Bay."
